An den schönen blauen Donau; this producer grows wine along the river e.g. at Joching; greenish yellow color; nose of lime, honey, grape, spices, wildflowers, and some hydrocarbons; taste is spicy, almost effervescent white grapefruit-driven dry and long. A touch of sweetness could have opened this up. — 5 years ago
Fet och koncentrerad. Mogen frukt där skal och stjälk fått åka med. Kanderad citron, vitpeppar och mineral. Känns som flaskan är inne i ett dumt mellanläge nu, skulle nog tjäna på några till års lagring. — 7 years ago
A favorite of Sabrina's, found while tasting on a day out in the city. This was the first wine she's tasted different vintages on. The difference for the Montigny was stark. — 8 years ago

Very savory. Some heavy sticky fruit up front, exceptionally dry. Classic white pepper, salty biscuit, insistent minerality. — 11 years ago
Even better. — 2 years ago
Really good savory Champaign. Dry, but not too harsh. Leah liked. — 4 years ago
Für das Alter und die Machart einfach gut, noch spritzig und erfrischend. — 6 years ago

Fantastische fruchtsüße Auslese mit opulenten Fruchtreserven. Super entwickelt und richtig 2006. Die Farbe setzt dem Ganzen die Krone auf, fast schon Olivenölartig. Einfach wunderbar. — 10 years ago
Pale lemon, the Schlossberg is a touch more floral than the Krone, also showing aromas of lemon, lime, apple, ripe peach and flintstone. Old vines from low fertility slate soils on quarz provide plentiful concentration. This is a soft textured, medium-sweet Riesling with medium body and sharp acidity. Drink now until 2045. — 4 years ago
So much flavor wrapped up in a bright, almost too easy to drink package. No mistaking this for anything but Riesling with an exuberant nose of tangerine, petrol, and pool toys. Great body with supple fruit and mouth watering acidity. Delicious now but sure to cellar well for at least a decade.
More info: the Tesch single plot wines are always spatlese trocken (usually around 12.5%), with around 4 g/l of RS and 7.8 g/l acidity, with no oak.
Krone vineyard: south east facing slopes, dry site with soils ranging from loess limestone to weathered sandstone. — 5 years ago

Love the this sweet but bubbly nectar. Who could resist a wine named night nectar? It is luscious ! — 10 years ago
Bone dry and mouth quenching; steel and flinty earth. Superb juice for 22$. — 11 years ago

@Delectable this is the “Prellenkirchen” 90% Gruner Veltliner and 10% Riesling. Dark in the glass, light skin contact? Drinking great ten years on and ready to go here. With veal sausage at Donau in Porto. — 4 months ago
