This seductively perfumed Beaujolais perfectly captures the charm of the vintage: balance, tension and seamless texture, with noteworthy purity and energy, make the Grand Cras Irresistible now, although a little patience will bring greater depth and complexity. Wonderful fruit concentration, serious acidity and big league minerality. Aromas are somewhat reticent initially, but the palate is explosive, intense and persistent right from the get-go. Think raspberry, blood orange, Asian spice, old copper pennies. Already fairly well-aged, the tannin structure gives me confidence for excellent mid-term cellaring potential. Might be difficult to find in the US market, but consumers should buy with the utmost confidence- especially at this price point. Superb! — 6 years ago
Pass the Douby to the left! Tastes like a cedar cigar box was filled with plums. Great, light red wine that could stand up to elk, moose and other gamay meats. I feel like I just got Beaujolais'd! — 8 years ago

Inch perfect, and faithful to the appellation. Lots of that “blue” Brouilly thing. Fresh, lower alcohols and guzzleworthy. #brouilly #beaujolais #gamay — 6 years ago

Soft fruity upfront. Then that medium gamy dry raspberries in the middle. Then a medium dry dusty finish — 7 months ago
