Ermitage Syrah 2009

Blackberry, cassis, vanilla, coconut, dark chocolate, smoked ribs, forest floor, graphite, game, leather, sweet baking spices. Such an oak bomb but with loads of grilled meaty ashy charcoal. Wet crushed dark stones. Guilty pleasures. — a year ago

Cornas Syrah 2014

Deep ruby. Jammy black fruit on the nose with metallic and blood notes. Bitter chocolate. Ripe, sweet, but also fresh on the palate with a strong spine of acidity. Tannins are there but in the background. — 6 years ago
