#3 of Jura Savoie evening
Slightly reductive, but w/ overdoing it.
Exotic fruit, a hint of matchstick reduction, a fresh herby note and an undertone of stony minerality.
Very classical Burgundian mouthfeel. Ripe yellow fruit, juicy acidity, herby freshness, just a tiny hint of wood roundness.
Great precision and depth, and brilliant drinkability!
This is really elegant and complex. And so drinkable! — 3 years ago
It was the Savagnin macération pelliculaire and not the “normal” one — 4 years ago
Perfect expression of Jura Chardonnay — a year ago
Very interesting to taste the grape in non oxidative style. Kind of whimsical fruit, orange and lemon meringue, with a pretty gage plum sweet-tartness on the palate. Echo of the relation to gewurtzteaminer, principally in some emerging subtle floral perfumes. Great long acid, and dark mineral finish. Also reminiscent of good white Rhone but the tension is from acid, not minerals. — 2 years ago
Open up with a little warming and was long and palate and finish. Memorable wine. — 3 years ago
Stellar old-world Chardonnay, part of the first month’s batch from the Verve Wines Locals Club. — 3 years ago
Impossible de retrouver le terroir du jura, c'est très bourguignon et vraiment délicieux! On peut penser à un beau blanc de la côte châlonnaise. — 7 years ago
