Domaine Du Garde Temps

Château La Garde

Blanc Pessac-Léognan Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2021

On the pour hint of lemon, on the swirl lemon and a little peach, body has a nice texture that yields good acid with long clean finish. Enjoyed in Andernos Les Bain, France, since Foursquare has been inoperably in the weeds for 6 weeks. — 16 days ago

Domaine Henry Pellé

La Croix au Garde Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Picked up a split of this because all my .375 empties got accidentally thrown out (I use them to store unfinished bottles in the fridge). So I was mostly after the bottle itself but what’s inside happens to be superb—lime, apple and floral notes with fine but not hard edged limestone mineral character, softened perhaps by the clay component of the terroir. I Sancerre-ly enjoyed it! — 6 years ago

Le Temps Est Venu Plan de Dieu Côtes du Rhône Grenache 2019

Medium Ruby with aromas of black and red fruits with cedar, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and cedar with smoke and tobacco notes. Generous acidity on fine soft tannins with a long finish ending with fruit and spice. Drinking well now! — 3 months ago

Château La Garde

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2003

Solid nose of dark red fruits. Tannic yet silky and long finish. This is an excellent old-world merlot/cabernet blend with finesse. It can stand on its own, or be enjoyed with food as it is a little on the acidic side. — 4 years ago

So good. Lovely subtle oak spice with big blackberry coulis fruit and spices on the nose. Huge depth on the nose. You could swim in the layers. Palate is so ripe, so rich and so dense with dazzling purity and freshness. Wow. This is just incredible. So fresh yet so opulent and deep. That’s what the best 15’s have to offer. Spectacular. — 7 years ago
