Having this 22 again and it’s still a little young but beautiful and enjoyable and food friendly so far with a pan seared bluefin tuna,. Then paired with a Delice de Bourgogne, and some strawberries, absolutely perfect. Quite full and lively with a taut black stone structural element. Very drinkable. — a month ago
Blackberry, black pepper, meat juice... This is textbook Syrah from Northern Rhône. The palate is a model of balance. Sheer acid and great matter. Good width and a lively mouthfeel. Pointy tannins a bit of a grain in mid palate. Very long finish with blackberry and those meat juice notes that are consistent with the nose. This is probably much too early to open it and I think it'd be better with food, but this is one of the best crozes I've had so far along with some cuvées from Combier. Great stuff! — 3 years ago
Trying this 2020 as a sample given to me. Outstanding in every way . Could just smell this for the rest of the day. Very full for a Chiroubles but stays tight and structured with spiced deeper red fruits. Nice acidity. Interesting mineral and charcoal qualities in the background. The slightest hint of Brett. My experience with Beajoulais Blanc has been unmemorable at best, until now. Very alive in the mouth, slight, pickled apple notes and tonic soda snap to the finish. Nice balance to acid that refreshes palate to return for more. Really nicely done, & a surprise. — 3 hours ago
