Les Charmots Pommard 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2004

Tomato leaf, pork fat, strawberries, baked strawberries, flint. Pommard-characteristic motor oil funk. Finishes short with the dry strawberries. Will age well for another 10. — 3 years ago

Les Rugiens Pommard 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010

2010 vintage. Wow - packed with juicy black fruits. A little closed on the nose but on the palate this is full on. Power and some developing complexity - leather and earth and black sour cherry. Tannins are quite fine but still quite big. This is a yummy wine with a sweet fruit finish. Very enjoyable and typical of Pommard. — 10 years ago

Pommards, in my limited experience, tend to be a bit harder and require more time than most other villages in the Cote de Beaune.

Thanks @Tom Casagrande Thinking back, I am going to thoroughly agree with you. Even my older Château Pommards never unwound.
