Clear dark ruby. Black cherry compote(!) on the nose. Echoed on the medium palate with a terra cotta and vanilla cream undertone and medium, woody tannins that assert as the wine opens up. Medium acidity and a medium finish round it all out. Judiciously oaked and leaning austere, the "Two Brothers" exemplifies Willamette's place between California and Burgundy; fruit forward but a natural as the universal red. Drink now through 2027 with any "red wine" fare. — 3 years ago

Na boca é um vinho de bastante presença, com destaque para o amadeirado, mas com taninos ainda duros e acidez destacada. Un joli blanc de blancs qui dois-je l'admettre soufre légèrement de la comparaison avec l'entrée de gamme d'Agrapart par son manque de rondeur et de gourmandise mais qui plaira sûrement à ceux qui préfèrent un Champagne racé, tranchant et minéral. S'il peut développer en complexité tout en gardant son style tranchant il atteindra d'ici quelques années la plus haute note.

Wow! J'ai recherché la cuvée après avoir entendu Benjamin Leroux en parler dans le podcast de Levi Dalton (I'll drink to that). Il était particulièrement enthousiaste pour ce climat en altitude (pour la Bourgogne, on s'entend), lequel est très majoritairement occupé par des vignes de Chardonnay (Meursault). Selon lui, le réchauffement climatique en fait un terroir idéal pour le pinot. Je dois lui donner raison avec ce 2017. Quel beau vin! Robe translucide et pâle, arômes dégourdis, de fruit, mais aussi de fleurs et de fines épices. En bouche, l'attaque est riche et de bonne concentration. La transition en milieu de bouche amène la fraîcheur et un côté minéral. Cette acidité porte le vin dans une longue finale. Les tanins sont nombreux et fins. Le vin est accessible, mais je crois qu'il a ce qu'il faut pour évoluer harmonieusement. J'ai beaucoup aimé et je le recommande vivement. — 6 years ago
