In honour of Frédéric Henry, owner of wineshop Mes Bourgognes in Beaune who suddenly died last Friday. Today at his funeral I decided to visit his favorite restaurant La Dilettante and ordered his favorite wine…. Pierre Overnoy. Enjoy life dear winefriends….it is moving fast. ❤️ — 4 months ago

2017 vintage. Certified organic Pinot Noir grapes from Garnet Valley which is the highest plantings in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia.
A nose of bright cherry, carrot tops and celery salt.
Ripe cherries and herbaceous qualities envelope your palette. Earthy and a bit smokey with crisp acidity on the finish.
This wine was built for grilled Pacific salmon or duck pizza.
In 2017 , Shane Taylor won British Columbia Sommelier of the Year. Every year’s winner is given the opportunity to make a wine with Okanagan Crush Pad Winery.
This is Shane’s legacy and a very nice wine.

A great way to kick off our week in Beaune. As one of my friends said, “This psychotically good!” Layered. Complex. Perfect balance. Enjoyed at La Dilettante in Beaune. — 3 years ago
