The Tribe Vineyard Syrah 2013
Slighty gassy with CO2 upon opening; 30 mins later revealed garrigue, cumin, black fruit followed by surprisingly modest extraction in terms of alcohol and tannins. Nicely balanced and not over-ripe. Glad to have had a chance to try with Pat DeLong and team. — 7 years ago

Grande Réserve Brut by Marlène Delong. Côteaux Sézannais. Chardonnay 65%, Pinot Noir 20%, and Pinot Meunier 15%. Aged 6 years on the lees. Wines from 2 harvests (73% 2014 and 27% 2013). Disgorged July 13th 2021. Citrus fruit, green apple and peach, brioche and a hint of cocoa powder. Lovely food Champagne with a creamy complexity, but fresh enough to make a perfect aperitif.
