This is a good Lugana, indeed, with parfumes of exotic fruit, a drop of unriped apricot and the typical spark of sulphur. The minerality starts in the nose and goes on vividly on the tongue where the taste of citrus is firm, enjoyable and long. Acidity is powerful but absolutely balanced and ends with a pleasant touch of lemon peel. Good... but... unfortunately, probably due to the weak vintage, parfumes are a bit close and far from the best performance for a Lugana. — 9 years ago
Great classic. Soft spume and a billion of tiny dancing bubbles. Classic champ yellow color. Intense and satisfying parfume of yeasts, yellow fruits and some warm hints like hazelnut, honey. In the mouth it's not too dry and with an evident dosàge but it's incredibly solid and it leads to a pleasant and intense citrine dimension and a long persistance. Flavours are so solid that it's not easy to drink and enjoy something else after this. The widow wants to be the first lady, as usual. Have a great 2016! — 9 years ago
The perfect description of its parfume is elderflowers under the morning dew. In the mouth it has got a strong sapidity but, anyway, it maintains a good balance showing citrus and mineral flavours. It's a strong son of a weak vintage and this is a good thing but I would like to taste a 2013 or the next one (2015) to see if this yellow/greenish wine can be a true masterpiece. — 9 years ago
I like Lugana but, for the second time, I crash again this one. Main characteristics are typical of Turbiana grape (exotic fruits, for example, and then minerality) and I appreciate the drop of sage I feel in it, but everything seems to be too soft, flat and close. For sure, the weak vintage 2014 doesn't help but I think it's definitely not in my top list of Lugana wines. It's decent for a thoughtless aperitif... ok... but... an Americano for me, please! — 9 years ago
Great Teroldego! A wonderful dark and inky purple color. Intense parfumes of wild strawberry (the first whiff), ribes, blackberry and memories of violet and also liqorice. Rich in the mouth with medium soft tannins and a crispy taste with sparks of spices and sapidity. Good acidity and a good persistance. Clean, balanced, pleasant wine. — 9 years ago
Elegant, austere, , powerful, unique, divine. Ten years on yeasts. Intense parfume of a good dark rhum and then... toasted notes, dried fruit, hazelnut, raisins, honey, bread, a drop of oxydation. Pure warm sensations. An impressive structure. A beautiful intense yellow color. Infinite persistence. Unbalanced (for a millimeter) towards the line of rhum but it's, for sure, a masterpiece for its body and its originality. — 9 years ago
A strange case. I really appreciated the vintage 2014 (?!) of this Custoza and its good synergy of seven grapes. Today, I tried the newly released vintage 2015 (expecting more power) and I felt it a bit closer. Parfumes of white flowers, white peach. There are also aromatic hints. Sapidity, a bit of minerality, not much acidity and a bitterish but anyway pleasant final. It misses some strebght, some flavours and some emotions more. To be tried again. — 9 years ago
"Tre Filer" is a unusual blend of botrytized Turbiana, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. These three grapes dance togheter in a vivid yellow wine. The parfume is peculiar with honey, overriped fruits, raisins but also a strong apricot. The acidity and minerality of Turbiana are still vivid but well balanced with other grapes and with typical sweetness of this kind of wines. Absolutely not comparable to best Passito, Muffato, Sauternes etc... but it's a good experience, anyway, for strong cheeses & desserts. — 9 years ago
Good interpretation of Nebbiolo from the oldest winery in Gattinara. Transparent ruby red with garnet shades. Intense parfumes of wild berries. Medium tannins and good taste of sweet spices. Really enjoyable freshness due to an absolutely pleasant acidity. Good persistence. Well done! — 9 years ago

Great offer at gdo: about 8€! Intense spume. Fast and small perlage. Bread & yeasts parfumes with hints of apples. The first sip is not perfectly pleasant due to strong acidity. Then it's better and it's enjoyable, with flavours of green apple, citrus but also some almond note and bread crust. It should be paired correctly with food considering its vivid acidity. I tried it with "bruschetta" (with a good tuscan olive oil) and Sorana beans. Great for the price! — 9 years ago
