Domaine d'E Croce (Yves Leccia)

Cuvée YL Blanc l'Île de Beauté Vermentino Blend

Vin de table. Corsican vermentino calling for a seafood medley= coupled with lighter seafood fare. Luminous, light, lychee & slight kirsch notes on the side. Acidity med.low, went well with our simple but elevated caprese salad! — 6 months ago

-Il Quadro delle Rose- Feudo di Mezzo Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese 2021

A bit too much cassis flavours for my palate which I do not recall when I had my first bottle about a year ago. Nevertheless a very good wine — 4 months ago

A much needed big pour! It’s been a very long week! After an hour decant this wine is so silky smooth and very fruit forward. TGIF! — 3 years ago

Domaine d'E Croce (Yves Leccia)

Ile de Beauté Red Blend 2019

Yves Leccia’s 2019 Île de Beauté IGP Rouge is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Niellucciu, hailing from the northerly appellation of Patrimonio, Corsica.

Île de Beauté – the namesake for many wines produced on the island – translates to ‘island of beauty’ in English.

This is a beautiful wine, indeed. It is medium ruby with ripe cherry, strawberry, and kirsch notes leaping out of the glass; it also offers licorice, fennel, violet, and subtle meaty characteristics. The fruit is unmistakably intense and concentrated. I suspect it’s a reflection of the dry, sun-soaked climate on this beautiful, mountainous Mediterranean Island.

This is such a versatile and food-friendly wine – it’s definitely worth a taste if you have the chance (preferably while gazing upon Corsica’s coastal seascapes). Cheers to the wines of Corsica!
