2016 vintage. Gawd…needs a solid fifteen years to learn some subtleties. **EDIT**tasted again tonight (01.28.23) and just massive initially but an hour in a decanter does wonders to soften the palate impact. Park a few bottles in a deep, dark space and you won't be disappointed in 15-20 years. — 2 years ago
This Cab won me over! Not too sweet, dry, and smooth. — 7 years ago
Ruby red color with a bouquet of floral fruit, herb spices and oak. On the palate flavors of raspberry and strawberry with notes of pepper, tobacco, herbs and licorice. Medium+ finish, ok balance with fine soft tannins ending with earthy herb notes. Ok but a bit pricey. — 8 months ago
Last one; still very solid to go with fabulous pizzoccheri on a cold winter night. — 6 years ago
Medium ruby-garnet color.
Aromas of cherry, floral.
Dry. Flavors of cherry, rose, tar, peppercorn, leather. Rich, chewy tannins.

No nose. Very dry…tannins, dirt, earthy. Enjoyed it, but nothing overly notable. — 3 years ago
This is the most recent 2016 vintage --a terrific bottle of wine all the more so for having paid only 19 euros at a restaurant in La Morra (near Barolo). It's probably $10 retail. Highly recommended! — 8 years ago

Needs a bit of time to blow off the youthful baking spice but then unfolds and shows brilliant purity of fruit. More on the side of red fruit plus some fresh tree brak, a flower note. Very fresh, very Burgundian, very enticing. Even better on day 2!
On the palate this retains the purity of fruit, with fresh acidity and great quality of tannins - firm, polished, so juicy. Everything is impeccably balanced and with surprising depth for a ‘simple’ Nebbiolo. This is a delight! Delish!!
24y old and making such good wine!
Can’t wait to try his first Barolos from 2023 once they hit the market.
