Surprisingly good for a second wine in an tricky vintage. Gorgeous nose has cedar, roasted peanuts, cassis, purple florals, warm gravel. Nose whack of flavor up front, then lightens up as the palate progresses. A bit of gritty tannin in the finish. Would I prefer a bit more concentration and length? Sure. Citrus!!! Taste great all by itself. I would imagine it going well with seafood. I had it with 1/2 pound of lightly battered and fried Codfish.
