Tre bicchieri l 🇮🇹 trade tasting: 15 months in barrel, 3-4 years additions aging. Rose and supple suede — 4 months ago
Only a touch less panoramic perhaps than the recent 2010 of this. A little browning, probably still at its peak. Seems to respond better to gradual airing in the bottle or glass than being poured into decanter. $190 from Winestar. — 5 months ago
— 6 months ago

Lighter style Nebbiolo. Very earthy with some funk; dried red fruit too — 2 years ago
Ripe fruit, nice balance, great pizza wine — 3 years ago
Nose: Dark fruit aromas lead the way with notes of black cherry, ripe plum, licorice, and subtle spice.
Palate: Big and bold with vibrant acidity and firm tannic structure. Layers of cherry and dark fruit carry through a long, persistent finish. Very well rounded with impressive depth and balance.
Overall: Structured yet approachable. Shows strong aging potential and should evolve nicely over the coming years. — 2 months ago
Very similar to the recent 2013, but with more roses. Again, much softer, less powerful than the Ravera and the Vigana Elena. $225 from WA. At home with Curly. — 3 months ago
Gambero Rosso Tre bicchieri l 🇮🇹 trade tasting: 2 years in barre, 18 months oak — 4 months ago
Fresh red berry notes, fruit-forward quality. Rustic earthy with hints of herb. Bright, lively acidity. Refreshing and easy to sip. It was great with light pasta! — 5 months ago
Coravin pour - light and delicious — 10 months ago
Intense and deep. Leather and roasting, spices and heavy clay and chewy tans and everything in between. Drank it over three days with a variety of steak and roasted mushrooms and Italian food and it went well with everything just very broad and deep and brewing. — 2 months ago
Excellent wine.
Would have never guessed it was 25 years old.
After some time in decanter and in the glass - it began to show some tertiary and real balsamic notes
But this wine really paired well with risotto. It cut the richness without overpowering and provided some solid fruit and tannin
There is both some power and elegance in this wine that works quite well — 3 months ago
Fabulous white Lange from Novello — 4 months ago
Dirt nerd / after earth work drink. Juicy black currant, blood orange, dry dirt, forest floor. Good for poultry, hearty bean, mushrooms. Try w forest food like muscadines or black trumpets. — 6 months ago
Rustic. Liked but weird note. — 3 years ago

Nose is a 10. Mouthfeel and finish don’t match. Tannins a little rough. — 7 days ago
