This sub $10 Trader Joe’s treasure really shines. The butter is restrained and balanced, also has a bright acidity. Notes of citrus on the nose and caramel, vanilla and butterscotch on the palate. Great delightful wine to pair with spicy food. — 2 months ago
2022/5/31-6/1 with ayu karaage, hachiku several ways, niku-dofu, etc. This is my favorite of the lower-priced Léa reds - there’s really nice acidity and flesh, and enough age to be fully open with hints of complexity but still with vibrant fruit. Really good on day 2 as well. — 3 years ago
As Tom Cassagrande said, spot on Burgundy white. Lemon oil, wet stone, slightly closed/reduced and showing a bit more character on day 2, this is what I remember Bougogne balance of the late 90's and early 2000's to taste like. — 4 years ago
