✨ A sparkling start to the weekend, trying to stay cool in the nearly 100 F heat.
🍾This is the 2009 Champagne Billecart-Salmon “Cuvée Louis Salmon” Brut Blanc de Blancs.
💯 It’s made with Chardonnay grapes sourced from several grands crus of the Côtes des Blancs: Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Avize.
👌 An exceptional wine in every way—versatile in its culinary pairing options. Also, a perfectly chilled indulgence to pair with the golden hour.
It’s a spectacularly lifted expression from the soft, lush vintage of 2009.

Apple, pear, creamy with light toasty notes. Very good house champagne. — a year ago
Lime, apple, and honeysuckle. Light and zesty but a touch less dry. — 9 months ago
Cloudy, flowery, funky.
A blend of Scheurebe and 3 Muscat varieties, 4 months skin contact, fermented on the lees.
Exotic nose with lychee, flowers in bloom, a bit of mango & guava, with some nice funk and brilliant freshness.
Great energy on the palate, bone dry and with nice, chalky minerality under the juicy acidity, a touch of tannins, great purity & flow.
This is delicious stuff! A perfect orange wine for beginners. — 3 years ago

Fab. Tastes like a great champagne, but lacks complecisity. I liked it better when I bought it 10 years ago — 7 months ago

I could not believe a reputable restaurant would pull out a bottle in such poor appearance. But what is inside is absolutely in peak form.
Citrus zest, green apple, white flowers, brioche, and crushed oyster shell unfold the aromatic nose with precision. The palate shows the tension between razor-sharp acidity and creamy, lees-driven mousse. Long saline mineral finish. Complex yet refined. — 6 days ago
