Light fizzy and refreshing. Sweet without being cloying. Notes of nectarine and butter — 4 years ago
It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. This time it's a delightful Cabernet from Sonoma County.
Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.
Strong nose with blackberries, blackcurrants, plums, cherries, light vanilla, eucalyptus, earth, licorice, mint, cloves, spices, dark chocolates and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, cherries, sweet raspberries, tobacco, spices, peppercorn, leather, chocolates and earth.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a great Cabernet Sauvignon from knights Valley in Sonoma County. Well balanced with nice complexity and a very soft and smooth mouthfeel.
Good by itself or with food. Fruit forward, spicy and elegant. This is a good wine to sip on by the porch.
Needs an hour to open up properly and balance itself out.
At this point the high alcohol is not noticeable, which is always nice.
This Single Vineyard Cabernet is very approachable now, and will be good in the next 10 years.
I paired it with a cheese plate and crackers.
Aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
14.9% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a great example from Napa Valley.
Dark ruby in color, almost black, with a short purple rim.
Fruity on the nose with blackberries, black currants, black plums, cherries, cedar, vanilla, licorice, cloves, alcohol, chocolates, coffee, earth, diet coke, eucalyptus, leather, spices, black pepper, beef jerky and graphite.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long, long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke, herbs, spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a yummy Napa Cabernet. Showing a great mouthfeel with nice complexity.
Still young and would benefit from 3 to 7 years in the bottle, and will probably be a 94+ point wine. (Although, it is very tasty right now).
Good right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours of airtime.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
Tasty and delicious.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

So damn good — 9 months ago
Interesting white wine. It’s effervescent! Light and packs a flavor punch. The aftertaste lingers with small hints of subtle citrus and acidity. Paired with sushi and it went well. the price point made it a great selection! $14.95 — 3 years ago
Bobby Moy, Winemaker "Layers of red plum, blackberries, and cassis explode from the glass. Spices mingle with the fruit giving way to notes of lavender, nutmeg, and cardamom. On the palate it is in balance due to a solid acid backbone and rich, but fairly-tight tannins. The finish lingers with red fruits and wisps of graphite. This approachable wine is rich in color, texture and flavor with an elegance not often seen in mountain Cabernets of this intensity. Delicious now and opens very well with a quick decant. Best from 2019-2030." chironwines.com $55.00 750ml — 7 years ago
