I loved this wine! — 6 years ago
This wine is in balance! Everything plays together so well. It’s a nice 10 year old wine, also the aged notes integrated so well with the vibrant red fruit coming from the Grenache. A little bit of Mouvedre and Syrah give it nice complexity. — 4 months ago
Cotes de Catalan red with Guinea Fowl at Spring. Excellent fruit, not the graininess I can find in Grenache/Carignan reds at times. — 3 years ago

Ripe black fruits. Fairly intense and lively. Perfect with bbq burgers or bold charcuterie — 6 years ago
Started off with sour cherry, lavender and the unmistakable smell of motor oil on a driveway. The mouthfeel was dry and minerally, but elegantly so, with a beautiful finish that balanced fruit and tannins. We paired it with steak but this would go well with anything. — 6 years ago
Vibrant ruby with pure cherry, wild strawberry, and blackberry fruit. Subtle garrigue herbs, cinnamon spice, and a hint of licorice emerge on the nose and juicy mid-palate. Fine, velvety tannins, bright tangy acidity, and saline-mineral finish give tension and length—elegant Languedoc finesse. — 6 months ago
A chance to compare again with proper notes. Aromas of maple syrup and honey. The Sherry sweetness comes through, with a toasty, nutty character on top of the grape. Very nice. — 2 years ago

This has improved nicely since I last had it in 2020. Blossomed. 2005 such an amazing vintage. I understand why the Bordelaise said they underpriced the vintage. This was $25 or less on release.
The nose is; dark chocolate cake to pudding, black currants, blackberries, dark cherries to liqueur, both plums, black raspberries & strawberry edges, core of tarriness, herbaceous notes, lightly and beautifully layered baking spices-clove, nutmeg, cinnamon & vanillin, mocha powder, caramel, moist volcanic clays, steeped black fruit tea, charcoal, candied graphite, moist understated tobacco, dry top soil, dry river stone, candied to just withering; dark, red flowers with liquid violets.
The palate shows; well softened & rounded M-m+ tannins. It is thick, lush, plush heaven. black currants, blackberries, dark cherries to liqueur, both plums, black raspberries & strawberry edges, dark chocolate cake to pudding, a core of tarriness, herbaceous notes, lightly and beautifully layered baking spices-clove, nutmeg, cinnamon & vanillin, mocha powder, caramel, moist volcanic clays, steeped black fruit tea, charcoal, candied graphite, moist, understated tobacco, dry top soil, dry river stone, dark mid spice, candied, dark, red florals with brilliant liquid violets, excellent, rainfall acidity, balance and elegance for days with a long, lengthy finish that lasts minutes and lands on earth & spice.
93-94. Beautiful wine and extreme value.
