Spicy with black fruits and a decent length. Fresh — 7 years ago
Bulls blood. What could have been a wild behemoth has been tamed: this one has benefited from age. Full bodied, fruit forward but tamed by earth, ash, and seared meat. — 8 years ago

$26ish price point. Very easy drinking. Easy complexity, minimal fruit, mostly earth, spice, mineral notes without being an overpowering wine. — 7 years ago

one of the more impressive wines i've had from ARG - deep dark golden color, looked slightly oxidized, and a bouquet that vacillated from honeyed florals, to mineral, to exotic perfumed spice, musky, brooding, ripe citrus then orchard fruit - just so multi-layered & oh so engaging, the palate was a bit more focused - solid mid weight w/firm acidic backbone leading to lingering tangy salty finish. can't recall having a Chenin like this - felt like extended skin contact and long lees treatment. — 6 months ago
Cantine Ceci ‘Terre Verdiane Lambrusco 1813’ NV: Soft bubbles. Light sweetness. Strong fruity depth. Raspberry. Strawberry. Blueberry. Balanced dry finish. All in all, refreshingly good! One of my favorite Lambruscos from Emilia-Romagna. Great day to all! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
GOAT, even if 2014 is a little too old for this. — 6 years ago

Tom Casagrande
Last had a bottle of the 2010 9 years ago and lost this one under a couple of other bottles. Popped and double decanted to remove sediment. Color showing considerable browning at the rim initially, it seems to be looking more youthful with air time. Nose is pretty intense, with the fruit showing a slightly pruney note, which I’m hoping dissipates as it gains air, and dark cherry lozenges. Beyond that, lots of leather, polished mahogany furniture, and sous-bois. The palate is still vigorous, with nice acids and intense but soft tannins framing deep, licoricey flavors. Quite full bodied. A little austere on the finish, it I’m hoping that pairs well with the braised beef short ribs that will be ready in 30 minutes. 9.2 for now; will update if that changes. — a day ago
