What an incredible find! Earthy, softening tannins and drinking beautifully! That nose too, barnyard and mushrooms galore. — 8 years ago
Incredible intensity and depth of flavour... developing aroma of porcini mushroom and overripe raspberries. Long lived finish with balanced acid and weighted mouthfeel. — 8 years ago
Where funk meets class , volcanic soils and 50% carbonic create a mineral driven wine with the fruit and texture to keep it interesting — 8 years ago
Golden ‘orange’ hue, notes of toasted pecan and a little musky.. long finish due to the generous tannins — 7 years ago
Brambly yet refined... enjoyed this with ramp pizza and agretti orchiette and the acidity and tannins held up so well to the food... I think we could have held on a while longer but it was drinking beautifully — 8 years ago
Earthy roasted beetroot and wild boar aroma, maybe I was just hungry-- but that's what I literally took away from this beautiful drop. Very pleased with the flavour intensity, rhubarb and black cherry. Hooray for the basket ranges and the first Aussie Gamay I like! — 8 years ago
Sylvia Esmonin's 06 Gevry Chambertin- young as ever, tannins softened, but the wine itself doesn't show many signs of age. Bold dark boysenberry or Marionberry is indicative of her late picks that have somewhat of a cola type finish. — 7 years ago

Initial nose was salty savoury like soy sauce, developing into dried fig and raspberry. Palate was so intense, with notes of porcini mushroom, dried fig and cherry with integrated with balanced acidity and jovial for its age. — 8 years ago
