Delicious, big, bold for a French Pinot.

Chocolate covered strawberries? A suggestion of them anyway. And yes a dash of vanilla to the nose as mentioned on the back label.

Red, nearly baked, apple with hints of must and acetone. Silky mouthfeel. Starts slightly sweet but quickly backed up by a wonderfully acidic backbone. Nose is strikingly old but the palate is surprisingly youthful. — 9 years ago
