2016 vintage was light yet full and yummy with an eggplant, tomatoe, and sausage sauce over rigatoni. — 4 years ago
Soft strawberry, rose petal, and subtle cherry note. By far the most elegant and stunning rosato I’ve ever had made from Nebbiolo. — 6 years ago

Light bodied, rust colored translucent, red fruits, currants — 2 months ago
The 2018 Donnas opens slowly in the glass with a pretty display of violets and rose, a whiff of exotic spice, wet stone and wild berries. It’s silky and round in texture, with a dense and savory wave of red and black fruits that saturate the senses. Inner florals and anise linger over a twang of sour citrus, as this tapers off lightly structured yet long, leaving a hint of plum and a peppery flourish. Lovers of cool-climate Nebbiolo will love this Valle d’Aosta take on the variety. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2022)

I like this simple wine. Light, raspberry, w/ surprisingly easy Piedmontese tannins after only 2 years. — 8 years ago
Valle d’Aosta Nebbiolo (called Picotendro). Made from slightly dried grapes. Light ruby color. Aromas of cherry, plums and brambly herbs. More black fruits on the pallet along with hints of tobacco, coffee, dark chocolate and pepper spice. Nice mild oaky note on the extremely long finish. Bold, yet the tannins are in check from the bottle age. Well structured with well balanced acidity. Excellent quality. Thank you for finding this one, Ron B! — a year ago
Full on wine here! Cherries, oak, leather. It’s got the works. Perhaps not as refined as some of the piedmont wines but very close. But it comes with a slight alpine freshness. — 5 years ago
