Organic wine from Italy that we had at Belissimo restaurant in Ireland. Great smooth medium bodied wine that lingers as it goes down. Nursing with cassis, twig and oak tannins . Very nice! — 8 years ago

Dark ruby color, nose with accents of "Blue Stones" rather black cherry, accompanied by toasted melted notes of aging. The third dimension is driven by evolution and its many very Burgundian nuances (roasting, undergrowth, pot-pourri). Semi-light body although quite intense and concentrated, The finish is of a beautiful length, carried by fleshy and coated aging tannins.
Robe rubis sombre, nez aux accents de « Pierres Bleues » plutôt cerise noires, griotte, accompagné des notes toastées de fût fondues. La troisième dimension est portée par l’évolution et ses nombreuses nuances très bourguignonnes (torréfaction, sous-bois, pot-pourri). Corps demi-léger quoique assez intense et concentré, La finale est d’une belle longueur, portée par des tanins d’élevages charnus et enrobés. — 4 years ago


Heavy, rich tannery, leather, cigar smoke, hot cinnamon. Plums.
Woah, reminds me why I love this region. Not the most rounded Vacqueyras I’ve had, but definitely got the smokey, rich, spicy, full body notes I love, paired with an incredibly silky mouthfeel.
Intense fruits of blackberry, raspberry, plums. Moderate to high acidity works well here with the intense jams. — 6 years ago
Funky nose. Plenty of cherry. Mouth feel is tart and full. Rose petals meets berry cobbler and green apples. A lovely Carneros Pinot example. — 8 years ago
A delicious Syrah with intense fruit and funk and a bit of spice. Needed a bit of time to open up, but when it did it was unbelievably good. — 9 years ago
This bottle haven been open for 24 hours was showing better than my last encounter a few weeks ago.
Light on its feet and without weight/density on the palate (due to 13.2% alc?) this has the elegant fruity/floral notes I adore in a pool-side quaffer or a light food wine.
It reminded me of Carlisle...which is a BIG compliment. — 9 years ago

Nice set of four Vacqueuras 60/40 Grenache/Syrah blends from Henri Bungener at RawWine LA, represented by the Carmin Brillant here. Each of the four are the same blend but each from a different part of the Vineyard slope with different soil/geologic features. The Fruit Sauvage bottling was a 9.2 and went very well with Soft Pretzel and Sausage sampler at Tabula Rasa. — 9 years ago
