Aged 17 years. It's really fragrant, with these floral aromas that remind me of violet and honeysuckle. A bit of cedary wood, baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, the spices and cedar are joined by some ripe fruity flavors, white raisins, ripe pears, marzipan, toasted almonds. a bit of oak tannin. Ginger snap cookie. This is Brut de Fût 20 year old lot 134. Deep caramel brown, smooth, deep, very rich. Vanilla bean and cocoa and tobacco on the nose, with a sharp note of grape in the back. Flavors of baking spices and cocoa but an interesting tart burst of sultana on the end. Very interesting. — a month ago
