Aconcagua Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

Super fresh, expressive wine loaded with vibrant dark red cherry and blue berry. Green olive note and limited finish held me back from a higher score. — 24 days ago

Limited Edition 20 Barrels El Triangulo Estate Pinot Noir 2019

Aged in French oak (85% new) for 12 months, medium Ruby with aromas of red berry fruit, floral and herb spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and tart raspberry with smoky and pleasant earthy herb notes, wrapped in vivid acidity and nice mouthfeel. Fine chalky tannins, good balance, long finish ending with fruit, smoke and oak character. Nice. — 10 months ago

Late Harvest Casablanca Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Pale gold hue. Aromas of honey, orange, peach, tangerine. Plus body and plus acidity. Relatively short finish, but an intriguing aftertaste. Solid dessert wine. — 5 months ago

EQ Coastal Sauvignon Blanc 2019

On a hot almost-summer night this wine hits the spot! ☀️

It’s a Sauvignon Blanc from the Valle de Casablanca D.O. in Chile 🇨🇱 where the vines from which it hails receive cooling influences from the Pacific Ocean breezes, lending balance and preserving acidity. 🌊

It’s no wonder this wine is labeled EQ as in Equilibrio (the Spanish word for balance), because it offers a wonderful balance of ripe tropical fruit aromas and flavors with vibrant acidity and notable minerality. 🍍 🥭

The aromas and flavors are fresh, albeit ripe, generally tropical with passion fruit, guava, mango, underripe pineapple, also green apple, gooseberry, freshly cut grass, and wet slate.

It’s a perfect patio pairing and fun to explore the beauty of new world Sauvignon Blanc from this region.

It’s also a great value at $12.99. 👏👏👏👏👏

Matetic Vineyards, E.Q., Coastal Sauvignon Blanc, D.O. Valle de Casablanca, Viñedo Valle Hermoso, Chile. Vintage 2019. ABV 13.5%.

Actually, Casablanca/Maipo Valley 50-50. Very light-bodied PN, but nice dinner wine with pan-seared salmon. — a year ago
