Just opened and poured and tasted, the bouquet was strong dark fruit with floral notes. Still a dark red with no visible signs of being 10 years old. Full mouth, delicious, really impressive again! — 25 days ago
Least favorite of the total wine Portugal tries. Too much leather and Tobacco Matt liked. Got better as it opened. — a year ago
Very rich with lots of depth. Similar flavor profile to the 20 and 30 year, but more depth and complexity. — 3 years ago
A gift from my brother, we enjoyed for my hubby’s birthday. Delicious — 5 years ago
A lovely red blend of 60% Touriga Nacional, 20% Touriga Franca, 20% Tinta Roriz, red fruits, intense aromatics, fruity, and very smooth and silky, inviting mouthfeel, delicious texture and long finish! Never disappoints! — 4 months ago
While the nose is of prototypical tawny port with raisin, caramel, fig, cocoa, and sandalwood, the palate has a fruitier profile with subtle cherry flavor. Full and rich but not cloying - it’s actually on the drier end of the taste spectrum for a tawny.
Royal Oporto is a tawny-focus brand marketed by Real Companhia Velha which owns several quintas including Quinta das Carvalhas. — a year ago
Wow! Rich and deep. Much better than the 10 and better than the 20. A lot more flavor on the back of the tongue and it lasts longer! Big finish! — 3 years ago

Dark purple color, with a lot of earthy components. Floral notes with a wooden accents, vanilla, and dark ripened fruit. All with a bit of leather. Nicely balanced with just a medium tannin structure. A lot softer than the flavors and scents give off. I think it’s delicious, and the 2018 is drinking quite primely right now. — a month ago
