While the nose is of prototypical tawny port with raisin, caramel, fig, cocoa, and sandalwood, the palate has a fruitier profile with subtle cherry flavor. Full and rich but not cloying - it’s actually on the drier end of the taste spectrum for a tawny.

Used as a cooking wine, but honestly better than the wine we had with dinner. Much drier and less acidic but with a touch of bitterness and astringency. Very floral and a lot of pear and green apple. Maybe a touch of pine or eucalyptus (?). Tasty — 2 years ago
