Abreu....really needs + 10 years to shine. A 1.5 hour decant. A glorious deep murky dark burgundy color with just a little bricking. On the nose: Kaboom! Big nose of dark cherry/plum, funky stewed meat, cassis, sweet mocha, wet forest floor, and a slight menthol. Taste: Buckle up and hold on to the guard rails!!! A creamy, rich, layered full body wine with dark cherry, chocolate, cassis, minerals, and a long earthy cedar finish. In its drinking window, pop one if you got em. Cheers! — 2 months ago
Amazing way to celebrate the beginning of Cinco de Mayo anniversary weekend. This was a gift from Ghino’s Enoteca in Pienza. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Tuscany. — 3 years ago
Stewed currants, caraway, coriander nose.
Bright thick start with Velcro to velvet tannic finish; wants meat.
Impressive example of Barolo’s ability to age. Thanks for sharing, Russell! — a month ago

Delightful!! Similar to a Pinot Grigio. Jennifer also really liked it. We had it at Eataly overlooking the 9/11 memorial and museum. After visiting there, we were ready for a drink. — 2 years ago
