This is a keeper, had this with poached salmon garlic shrimp and spinach. Wonderful full body with just hints of herbs and a little olive.

9.0

Bold. Very spicy at first and heavy, a little unlike ripasso. Softens some with air, keeps the spice, but becomes a bit more fruit forward as I expected. — 10 years ago

La Morosa Colli di Rimini Rebola

Rebola. Romagna local vine made by and mainly for the locals. Nice and fresh grapefruit and pomelo flavours, hints of ripe peer. Creamy and greasy with a good linger. Very good value. — 11 years ago

Albino Rocca

La Rocca Piemonte Cortese 2021

Opened the precious day and kept in the wine fridge overnight. The 2021 “La Rocca” pours a straw color with medium- viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with cheese and melons: cantaloupe, musk melon, Taleggio and Pecorino Romano with some lemon and raw almonds. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and there’s palpable texture. A fun wine and more interesting than most Gavi’s I’ve had recently. This is 100% Cortese sourced from their vineyards in Barbaresco and San Rocco Seno d’Alba; fermented and aged in French oak barriques. Drink now. — 2 years ago
