Delicious when you’re stuck in Antarctica. Nose of apricot, sweet lemon and grapes. Lush. — 2 months ago
Popped and poured. The 2019 Amador County is energy in a bottle. Deep straw bordering light golden color. Medium viscosity. Medium+ intensity. Generous fruit with bright notes of yellow apple, quince, passion fruit, white flowers, ginger, and persimmon. On the palate, the wine is dry with ripping acid. Confirmed the tart yellow apples which are joined by San Pellegrino-like minerals and lanolin. A wine of lovely texture. The finish is long and immensely satisfying. This is my favorite Sandlands Chenin to-date; checking off so many boxes. — 7 months ago
