Seemingly more youthful than the notes on my last bottle, about 20 months ago, would suggest. A fair amount of bricking at the rim, but the nose shows a nice integration of dark macerated cherry, Provençal herbs, iodiney minerals, and sun-baked earth. In the mouth, the tannins are there but resolving. Decent concentration, and sneaky acidity lifts it up a bit. Nice! — 10 days ago

This is a very elegant style of Brunello. Nose has sultry macerated dark cherry, terra cotta tile earthiness, some gorgeous sweet spice notes. In the mouth it’s soft, medium-full, and has some nice complexity. Notes of earthy gravel and porcini mushroom to go along with the rich fruit. Tannins are soft but still provide a nice tactile reference point. Acids are soft. Lengthy finish. — 7 months ago
