"The Devil's horne" is the name of this red wine, due to the high slope of this vineyard in Canneto Pavese (Italy).
Buttafuoco is a blend of 4 different grapes: Croatina, Barbera, Uva rara and Ughetta di Canneto.
Deep color, intense fragrance of prune, red peach and pomegranate.
Full-bodied, power tannins texture, long persistance.
The 15,5 % alcohol is really well balanced, I didn't believe it! (2016 was a very warm summer). — 6 years ago

Enjoyed this fruity wine with eggplant parmigiana. Smooth every day wine with red fruit, a touch of leather, smooth tannins and medium finish. Lighter on the pallet and very good in 2015. — 8 years ago
A little too oaky aftertaste for me but went well with grilled ribeye steak. — 9 years ago
