Amarone Classico Corvina Blend 2015

Complete symphony! It had about everything, dark dry plum and black cherry, earthy under notes, infused with just the slightest hint of ‘barnyard’, fine grained tannins carrying a long, minerally edged finish. All in harmony 💃🏻🕺 — 10 days ago

Hmmm. Was okay. Initially quite rich in dark red fruit flavors. But remained pretty much single note.

Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2018

Wow again! I just love this Amarone ang grab several bottles when I can get it. It is reasonably priced for the wonderful experience. First - it’s approachable on opening but best after an hour or two of air. Nose is a blend of spice and candied cherries. Well balanced acidity and tannins to be mouthwatering and dry at the same time. Moderate density with raspberries, blackberries, plums, and a hint of citrus along with an earthy undergrowth and leather as it approaches the lingering finish. Lots of layers. worth sipping and savoring. — 8 months ago

Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore Corvina Blend 2010

Drinking a 2010 vintage in December 2019 and this wine is still drinking quite well and it could be argued that it’s at or near it’s peak. Excellent nose, beautiful color and lasting finish. Pairs well with red meats, stews, soups, cheeses and breads. Also roasted pork dishes that are more flavorful. Glad I bought a case and cellared it for several years. — 4 years ago

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2018

Always a pleasure. Quite typical. A bit more forward in 2018, but still balanced and delicious. Nice wine with a variety of veal dishes at good old Campagnola. — a year ago
