Reductive funk on opening recedes pretty quickly after decanting. Few hours later the fruit is of the serious black kind & laced with wood spice. Sour cherry and blackcurrant but with dominant notes of black liquorice sticks, hickory, dandelion & burdock, damson & black tea on the nose. Palate has good concentration and structure with dusty but firm tannins (for Bojo), this may be from young vines but should really benefit from some time in bottle. (5+years) Palate shows inky black cherry and blackcurrant fruit that leans slightly more towards the savoury end of the scale. Less complex than the nose, hopefully will open out with time in bottle. — 7 years ago

Incense, smoky, Christmas spice, wet autumn leaves, soaked cherry compote. Rather airy for an 2006. After two hours, nose is earthy with burdock root in a very pleasant way. Sour cherries on the last splash. Guessed 01/02 due to the sweetness towards the end. One of the best 2006s I've had. — 7 years ago

Golden brown in color, light head on pour, small to medium sized bubbles. Honey note in nose. Complex apple flavor profile is the canvas for the painting of botanical flavors - dandelion, chamomile, lemon balm and burdock. Dry, no tannins on finish. Not my favorite from them, seems I might be allergic to the dandelion, but a nice product, well crafted as usual. — 8 years ago

Fried burdock root, herbs/medicinal in a positive way, some sandalwood, cool black raspberries and blue berries. Brimming with minerality. Very elegant with smoothly textured tannins. A good bottle but still a step behind LB. — 7 years ago
