A region I need to better explore, Peljesac peninsula Croatia — a year ago
Plum, not overly sweet, pairs well with chocolate. — 2 years ago

Interesting Croatian wine. For $25 a nice value. Somewhere between Nebbiolo and Zinfandel on the palate, though the color and body are lighter than zin for sure. Not huge acid and the tannins are a bit drying/rustic - but a nice one to try outside of the norm. — 3 months ago
100% Plavac Mali, Croatia’s most popular red grape variety and also, recently discovered, an offspring of Zindandel, from vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (and another 4 years in bottle in this case). Notes of strawberry and smoke. A hint of cherry cola that I’ve noticed in some Zinfandels. I thought it would be a fruit bomb, but after some airing it was totally balanced. Earthy, savory, pleasant to drink — 2 years ago
This is a SUPERB red! It’s up there with Bura Dingac in terms of quality. Big fruit; syrupy; and beautiful tannin all around. A must have. The Dubokovic family does everything right ! — 4 years ago

Solid. Not great pairing with the spicy food on the menu, but happy to have tasted. — 11 days ago
