Great red - had with Anaita Pete and Shireen after magic show — 2 days ago
Blackberry, earthy nose. Dark red color.
Medium body.
Blackberry, cherry, and baking spice flavors.
Very good, a little young at the moment.
On sale for $30, regularly around $40. — 5 months ago
Interesting Croatian wine. For $25 a nice value. Somewhere between Nebbiolo and Zinfandel on the palate, though the color and body are lighter than zin for sure. Not huge acid and the tannins are a bit drying/rustic - but a nice one to try outside of the norm. — 2 months ago
100% Plavac Mali, Croatia’s most popular red grape variety and also, recently discovered, an offspring of Zindandel, from vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (and another 4 years in bottle in this case). Notes of strawberry and smoke. A hint of cherry cola that I’ve noticed in some Zinfandels. I thought it would be a fruit bomb, but after some airing it was totally balanced. Earthy, savory, pleasant to drink — a year ago
I was very surprised by this wine, it was very good. And it kept very well, and for a long time. It was very good and for a great price. — 4 years ago
