First sips were disappointing in the brevity of the hit on the palate. Gave it an hour and it lengthened beautifully. This wine has a ton of fruit (crushed sweet red berries), velvety tannins, and great structure. I would be fascinated to see what 10+ years does to it — 3 years ago
My 1,000th bottle on Delectable!!
Sorry for the long note in advance, as I truly value brevity and conciseness.
2 hour plus decant. Dark purple color. Nose contains massive vanilla and oak. If I drank blind I would have guessed Spain or Portugal, as it was just like the wines we had in Mallorca but higher quality; but honestly it’s like nothing I’ve had before.! Wine is super sweet with very little fruit. Deep and concentrated. Dessert in a glass! Huge vanilla and maple syrup flavors; like pancakes in a glass. I bet this would pair amazing with breakfast for dinner - eggs, steak, sausage, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. While not my style, I could drink this all day long. Amazing texture and long finish. Definitely high quality. How a wine could taste like this is beyond me!!! Points for being totally unique and well made!!

I can hum this pretty, rhythmic melody. Very good, but not quite a choir belting harmony. A very Burgundian dichotomy of rose water cherry leather and salty lean limestone rich brevity. Pretty aromatics translate to signs of whole stem, crunchy red fruit - cherries and cedar dust. — 3 years ago
Medjool date color of reddish brown verging on ebon. Brief, solid, fluffy headmaster cameo, beige. Bowing slowly with brevity, leaving only a dark, inscrutable surface. Ripe bananas, and Ethiopian coffee, grilled and roasted beef, marinated in Port with edges of cracked black pepper. Fennel, rosemary and cocoa, raisins, cloves, ginger snaps all stirred in cast iron over slow flames of acanthus to make this dark story thick with candied deceits, smelling of dark chocolate delights. This one has sharp, sugary teeth of cubed ginger candy, lips of gingerbread, a tongue of dark brown sugar, caramel-chocolate, dark rum cake, eucalyptus, coffee liqueur, and sweet barbecue sauce before finishing with figgy treacle. Smooth and brooding; your destiny implied by its name. — 5 years ago

@Delectable, this is the Monterrey Pinot Noir
Big cherry 🍒 , almost leaning into Grenache but with that nice California fruit. — 5 months ago
