Very good pinot noir, wait, pinot nero. Herbs or green tea, spicy finish (pepper), some sweet fruity hints. — 2 years ago
Unique, at least for me, but a great warm-weather wine. — 8 years ago
Interesting - a wine with a taste of Black tea — 3 years ago
Been saving this as Cesare’s Barbera was transcendental and I knew the Barolo had to be at a minimum profound. My instincts were correct. The style here is classically styled but a hint of polish with such subtleties. More Robert Bressan than Jacques Tati. Just a stunning nose. Gorgeously refined, defined and perfumed cherry. Incredible mineral spine. Woodsy, salty. Just so complex. So perfumed. Flowers galore. Elite aromatics. Level of precision, refinement and vividness that is remarkable. Top top class. What a palate. Incredible fruit and so refined. My goodness this is one sexy, elegant wine. Wow. Chambolle 1er Cru like. So so pretty. Beautiful salty, cherry fruit, velvety and sweet tannins and just remarkable freshness and a 1/10th of a percent of opulence. The tannins are so sweet and refined but this does not come across as sweet due to the pointed minerality. So long. This will age decades but it is ridiculously great today. But ideally better and more integrated in 5 years. What a distinctive style here. — 4 years ago
