Tastes like a high quality white Burgundy. A profound wine of power and beauty. Blew all other 10 Gutedels/Chasselas‘s out of the water. Although my co-Tasters from Baden did not agree because his style and vinfication is different. Reductive. Quite stinky nose which blows off. Awesome, especially the next day. Hazelnut, plenty of acid, marble dust, lime, hint pine needles. Some tannins. Build to last. This is great! At a friends house in Freiburg im Breisgau. — 4 years ago
A little sweeter than I usually prefer, but it’s clean and refreshing. Quite of bit of fruit with notes of almonds and even a little pine — 3 years ago
Dry. Went back to the Alte Wache in Freiburg i. Breisgau. What a City! Had this with a Matjeshering Sandwich. Food made the difference - this is a match in heaven. Perfect with salty oily fish. I always pair Matjes herring or any pickled version with Riesling. Classic Kabinett, mandarine, faint diesel really just a touch, surprisingly some tannins - smidgen tart. Lemon 🍋. — 2 years ago
More fruit forward than I was expecting from a German Pinot. — 4 years ago

One of the best wineries in Germany have been there. 44$. Pinot Gris/Pinot Blanc. Very well made. At this point super eggy. This needs more time to settle. 13%. Good - a hard sell to the typical consumer. Would revisit every 3 years. Not sure we’re this is heading. — 9 days ago
