2021. This big, fruity, oaky (vanilla) wine does not exhibit 16% abv and doesn’t really have a tannic bite. Used to be one of my annual buys, but not any longer. Saw it in the wine store and they had two bottles left on discount to make room for the 2022 vintage. Since I do like this wine with grilled steak, I picked one up and the crowd enjoyed it. You can find this everywhere, and it's not bad. This 2021 is actually quite good. A lively berry medley and a little tobacco leaf finish. Smoke on the nose. It's fun!

pretty nice, some Spanish Garnacha can be too fruit driven & flabby, but this was decently structured - had an impressive core of fruit w/some terroir driven aromas & flavors. lacked polish leading to modest finish. good value @ $16 — 6 months ago

Blend of Garnacha (55%), Syrah (39%) and Mazuelo (6%). Dark ruby color with garnet highlights. Aromas of wet soil, coffee, violets and ripe red fruit. Flavors of strawberry, raspberry and red cherry fruit, dark chocolate, minerals and baking spices. Bit of vanilla on the long and pleasant finish. Soft/tight tannins and vibrant (a bit overbearing) acidity that causes the mouth to salivate. Medium-plus body and structure. Needs aeration. — 8 months ago

Starting to go through my 2019s. At almost 7yrs, if the others are similar to this bottle, this seemed at absolute peak drinking with plenty of time to enjoy.

UV-SL has, for me, been one I normally open on the younger side as I enjoy the natural opulent and pure fruit tbh at the site can give. Lovely yellow with a tinge of green still showing in the glass. Everything about this wine showed what made me fall in love with Aubert…big aromatics of white peach, roasted nuts, honeysuckle, nutmeg and citrus. Textural and initially powerful, the fruit on the mid-palate is balanced nicely by the acidity with a killer finish. Lovely signature Aubert lemon cream, lemon scone, tropical fruits, honey, little bit of limestone grit and some ginger. Feels like it’s hitting peak with a long window. No rush, but if you have multiple, enjoy one soon. — 4 months ago
