I would have hated this wine a few years ago, but I’ve learned to embrace some oak in California Chardonnay. Some melon here, citrus, minerals, vanilla, the oak is nicely integrated with the wine, I can dig. Paired with smoked wings. — 2 years ago

This wine has a rich yellow-green tint. On the nose I thought I smelled some oak, but I was mistaken. It’s all steel. There is an overriding salinity that mutes the floral, apricot and citrus aspects a bit. The palate carries that salinity as well. That, plus a racy acidity, makes me want some oysters with it. — 3 years ago

Mas la Plana is my favourite Cab from Spain 🇪🇸 grown in Penedès. Having had my last 05 last year which was superb I was keen to see if this 30 year old 89 @ €63 would still be alive & to my surprise it is 😁 I still prefer these with 7-12 years of age 😉
