Intense blackberry notes. Paired particularly well with charcuterie. I would buy again (and again). — 13 days ago
Nice, easy drinking — 10 months ago
We ordered Bodega Benegas but they gave us this. We loved it. It needs a minute to breathe. — a year ago
Excellent wine. If you can find it, buy it! Under $25 — 2 years ago
Easy to drink, mellow — a month ago
it's been 7 weeks in self quarantine, so we decided that enough is enough, and we're going to meet by the lake, and have some wine and cheeses (6 ft from each other of course).
This is a gorgeous 10 year old Bordeaux blend from Argentina. Earthy, with lots of fruits to balance it out.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, raisins, vanilla, oak, licorice, spices chocolates, tobacco, coke, vegetables, bell pepper, earth, wet leaves, herbs and peppercorn.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This 10 year old is showing great complexity and mouthfeel at this point. Probably at its peak.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show more complexity and structure. Started to decline after 4 hours, but there was not much left.
Thanks for sharing, Wendy.
This Old Vine Cuvee is much different than their regular blend, the complexity (and price) reflect that. A Delicious wine.
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Aged in French Oak barrels for 18 months. Vines were planted at the beginning of the last century.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
$50. — 9 months ago
Um. Yeah. 100 year old vines managed barreled in a way that makes it taste like a $200 wine — 2 years ago
First Syrah Argentina ... the color is typical of the grape variety, dense purple. Nose of small black fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant), violet and sweet spices. On the palate: the attack is fresh and greedy, medium body nourished by aromas of aging inevitably evoking the Rhône-Nord. The finish is rather straightforward, 2015 is balanced now !
A dry red wine. Strong tannins and notes of marzipan. Easy to drink and wonderful aftertaste. — 10 months ago
My first Argentine Cab Franc. This is New World in every sense, but the oak is integrated beautifully and the wine is balanced and classy. Crimson color, nose of brambly, super-lifted red and blue fruit and subtle baking spices. Acid and tannin are in striking balance, and the finish is pure and long. Not overly complex, but certainly delicious. — 2 years ago
