Enjoying wine tour and tasting at Bodega Benegas. This 2018 Bodegas Malbec is balanced from start to finish. — 2 years ago
Finca Libertad old vine blend. 50% Malbec, 20% Cab Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot. Had many notes that one finds in a Port. Tremendous value. — 3 years ago
First Syrah Argentina ... the color is typical of the grape variety, dense purple. Nose of small black fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant), violet and sweet spices. On the palate: the attack is fresh and greedy, medium body nourished by aromas of aging inevitably evoking the Rhône-Nord. The finish is rather straightforward, 2015 is balanced now !

#AgedWineTuesday
it's been 7 weeks in self quarantine, so we decided that enough is enough, and we're going to meet by the lake, and have some wine and cheeses (6 ft from each other of course).
This is a gorgeous 10 year old Bordeaux blend from Argentina. Earthy, with lots of fruits to balance it out.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, raisins, vanilla, oak, licorice, spices chocolates, tobacco, coke, vegetables, bell pepper, earth, wet leaves, herbs and peppercorn.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This 10 year old is showing great complexity and mouthfeel at this point. Probably at its peak.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show more complexity and structure. Started to decline after 4 hours, but there was not much left.
Thanks for sharing, Wendy.
This Old Vine Cuvee is much different than their regular blend, the complexity (and price) reflect that. A Delicious wine.
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Aged in French Oak barrels for 18 months. Vines were planted at the beginning of the last century.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Sipping Fine Wine
Deep Ruby color, purple hues, aromas of red and black fruits with spice, aged for 12 months on French oak. On the palate flavors of sour black cherry and blackberry with vanilla, cacao and herb pepper spice. Fine tannins, medium+ length ending with fruit and mineral spice. Nice! — 6 months ago
