Very nice. Pencil graphite blackberry but a bit thin. — 2 months ago
The last time I had this was at The French Laundry trying to convince someone to support a nonprofit I love. The subsequent gift was generous but, somehow, underwhelming. This wine is like that. A great vintage, a great vineyard, in great hands, but it had so much more potential. I’m not whining about a 97-point wine; I’m lucky to enjoy it. But it could’ve been even more. — 3 months ago

Englishman Jonathan Maltus (of La Dome) Napa project. Nose shows blackcurrant, plum, cassis, pencil shavings, and clove with a herbaceous undertone. Juicy with medium to full body. Velvety tannins. Stylish, but lacking a bit of depth and complexity. — 2 months ago

Drinking very well right now (2024). Critics said to drink up but I found it still having strong fruit balancing the dirt. Reminded me of some lovely aged Bordeaux I've had in the past. I'd enjoy now or over the next few years if you're lucky enough to have any bottles. Cheers! — 3 months ago

This wine is an absolute standout, delivering a rich and full-bodied experience that doesn't disappoint. From the first sip, it bursts with deep berry flavors, offering a perfect balance of ripe fruit and complexity. Hints of tobacco and licorice add depth, while a subtle touch of chocolate rounds out the finish beautifully. The structure is bold yet smooth, making every glass an indulgent experience — 7 days ago
