A split rating between Lesley and Harry. Light tannins but slightly peppery very smooth across the palette…yummy! Especially sitting next to the Raspberry patch and eating my best burgers ever and broccoli harvested moments before cooking. TBD - s’mores are next on the agenda. Wish you were here!! — 3 months ago
Blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby color with aromas of dark berry fruits, oak and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and currants with tobacco and herb woody spice. Fine chalky tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and herb mineral character. Nice! — 6 months ago

5/2024. Very nice blend. Full of flavor. Sits well on the palate. Good finish. Paired well with the grilled bone in pork chop at Mr. Friendly’s. — 6 months ago

Region: Saint-Estephe Grape Variety: Bordeaux Blend Red ABV: 13.5% . "Ruby red with violet reflections in colour, on the nose, aromas of plum and cassis with notes of spices. On the palate, dry, oaky, smokey, spicy, fruity, hint of tobacco, touch of leather and toast, delivers red fruits character, balanced, lengthy, soft, silky, layered, mature, earthy, persisted, rich, firm. It has a long finish." — 2 months ago

Nose presents baking spices and a touch of soft brown sugar. Palate is dense and layered, as usual for this producer (before the winery changed hands the first time around). Notes of coffee, tobacco and maple syrup come through on the mid palate. Nice tannin/acidity combination complete what is a classic BV presentation. Drink these within the 24 months. This winery has been on the slide ever since Ed Snyder and team departed. I tasted some of the 18’s and 19’s and they were a mere shadow of the previous product.
