I have no idea why @Delectable Wine puts “Marks & Spencer,” which I think is a British retailer, in the ID of this wine. Anyway, it’s a characterful wine. Very dark color for a Chianti Classico. It’s got an interesting nose of black cherry, a substantial tomato leaf note, leather, and rocky gravel. Rather energetic in the mouth, with deep, dark cherry, that turns savory and minerally very quickly. A bit more soft tannin than many annatas, and zesty acids. Lot of bang for the buck here. — 7 months ago

Pale ruby in color; cherries, potpourri, and dried herbs on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like red currants, raspberries, dried flowers, and clay pots with a long finish. — a month ago
