Quite a nice brunello. Lots of dark fruit but quite balanced with good earth and length. Tannins somewhat surprisingly integrated. 14.5% but no noticeable heat. Good acid and a nice pairing with food. — 5 months ago

This is in a tie for the best Portuguese dry red with Pera Manca and Barca Velha. Very classical register, no new wood you can detect. Rich, bold, but complex and profound. Another beauty. 45% Touriga Franca, 35% Touriga Nacional, the rest is Tinto Roriz and Tinto Cao. Powerful rich and delicious, but it seemed a bit lighter than the Unico and a lot lighter than the Pingus. Decanted 5 hours before serving.
