Another bottle I forgot to get a picture of in situ. Made from Tinta Negra in canteiro. A caramel glaze about to burned brown color, veering into golden brown at the rim. Utterly mouthwatering (and I should say nose quivering) aromas of caramel, brown sugar, sugarcane, molasses, coffee, and dark chocolate, plus a hint of earth and smoke. It is sweet, oh yes, it is, but the acid is bracing. The palate confirms the nose with the addition of caramelized grapefruit, figs, dates and cocoa. Geez Louise, it’s good. Almost cola on the finish. — 10 months ago

Such deep red cherry flavors come through, but balanced with some nice earthiness. Amazing wine for the price. — 2 years ago

House wine at il Capitano for 18,50€…not bad for a restaurant wine list. Would order again. — 2 years ago
