I don’t like SB but I really like this. It is a grüner veltiner in disguise. — 3 years ago

Solid wine with dinner. Tasted great with earth and leather but fruit also at forefront. Lovely to not think about much. — 3 years ago
Cume do Avia’s premium white, the 2019 Branco dos Canotos is a blend of Lado, Caíño Blanco, Albariño, Loureira Blanca from 10-15 years old vines. Complex, quite unusual nose with aromas of hay and pistachio. Citrus flavors on the palate. Dry, mineral, vibrant, racy acidity. Nice saline, slightly bitter finish. — 5 years ago

The wine has a medium-light ruby color. The aromatic nose is nearly all minerals, with raspberry and black pepper notes. The palate is smooth and savory, with tart red fruit flavors. The taste reminds me of a very Burgundian Pinot Noir or a Schiava from Italy’s Alpine region. The tannins are quite relaxed, and the acidity is on the tame side, too. It is a tasty wine, though. Pair it with soft cheese or a fruit plate. — 13 days ago
