Chewy berry pie with baking and warmer spices. Good oak that gave it some firmness but with a touch of vanilla. Very pleasant blend. — 10 months ago
This aged quite nicely. Getting to be a little bit softer so time to drink in my opinion. Had with some nice spicy Asian food. Still a lot of darker cherry with a hint of blackberry? Really nice GSM blend. Huge fan. — 9 days ago
Jeb 96, Vinous 95 Winemaker's Notes: "This very limited bottling shows the compelling potential of Cabernet Franc from a top vineyard. Though it’s often used as a spice in our Bordeaux blends, this wine, from the legendary Champoux Vineyard, has its own unique character and complexity that convinced us to feature it alone. 100% Cabernet Franc from a 1997 planting at Champoux. Native yeast fermentation. Aged in 20% new French oak for 20 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered. 125 cases total production." — 2 months ago
Wonderfully peppery, dark fruit flavors smooth tannins — a year ago
Wow! Incredible find. In my recent wine tasting at Avennia, this was by far my favorite. Award-winning Merlot. Loved it that first time and each subsequent Coravin experience. — 23 days ago
The term ‘L’Egerie’ is French for ‘muse’ as Chris Peterson has crafted another stunning new Rose wine, blending 65% Grenache and 35% Mourvedre. Showing off its beautiful pale color, the wine opens with really good aromatic range, from salted Marcona almond to ripe strawberry, as well as melon and shades of Mandarin orange zest that all combine on the nose. The silky texture truly entices and collects momentum with the wonderful bright minerality of the wine. Elegant, yet showing good depth, the wine unveils bright red raspberry, strawberry and honeydew melon flavors that connect with the great sense of minerality. This finishes extremely long. Try to get your hands on this while it lasts. Drink 2019-2026- 92 — 2 years ago

One hour splash decant.
Cranberries and cherries, herbal seasonings, hints of black tea, leather and smoke. Medium-plus body, good length, good amount of acidity. Overall impression is cool-climate, more Bdx-like than Californian. At the moment a tad reticent, certainly not extracted or hedonistic.
I suppose some extra cellartime will add depth, body and complexity. Promising.
